Painted Pendant – Found Object Jewelry

This pendant was repurposed from part of an antique light fixture. I painted it with a mixture of ICE resin and PearlEx pigment, and hung it from brass chain with the clasp from an old watch fob.

Faux Enamel Experiment

This beetle is the result of my experiment of mixing ICE resin with PearlEx pigment powder. I was trying to get the effect of the wonderful Egyptian style enamel jewelry from the Art Nouveau period. I haven’t decided exactly what I’ll do with him next, but he’ll probably end up as part of a cuff bracelet. One thing’s for sure – if I’m going to do close work like this I’ll need stronger glasses!Image
