Apparently all babies love to play peekaboo – even equine babies! I was hoping to get some pictures of a couple of foals at a neighbor’s ranch, so I just sat on the ground with my camera and waited, hoping that curiosity would bring them close enough. The little guy here is a Missouri Foxtrotter, and he’s 3 weeks old.
His mama, bless her heart, brought him right to me – but he was shy and kept trying to hide behind her. At first he peeked at me through the cover of her tail-
Then he inched around her and peeked under her belly-
Finally, he got brave enough to come closer!
Have you ever seen such a sweet face – he’s so adorable!
But now the game was over, and with a saucy flip of his tail and what looked for all the world like a wink of his eye, he and his mama moved off to the far side of the pasture. I’ll have to stop by and see if he wants to play again in a few days!
What a wonderful post! Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos!
He was such a cutie – I couldn’t stop laughing while he was peeking under her belly!
